SPIRITUAL GUARDIANS
Spiritual Guardians is a photography project I tackled with inspiration from the sculptures I have seen browsing Allerton Park in Champaign, Illinois. From the images I collected, I managed to create a journey the viewer can embark on meeting spiritual guardians.
The series reads top to bottom as shown. The viewer enters portal to a spiritual realm and is visited by three spiritual guardians and eventually finds the exit to reality.
Each guardian is also accompanied by protectors on either side to further promote the idea of symmetry and balance, a concept which is actively demonstrated in the actual park's design and arrangement of sculpture.
